iLendingDIRECT’s Co-Founder & CEO, Nancy Fitzgerald, recently appeared on Extraordinary Women Radio™, a Colorado podcast featuring, “wildly successful women living out loud in voice, vitality, and vigor.” It is hosted by Kami Guildner, a women’s success coach, prominent Colorado thought leader, and entrepreneur.
In 2020, both women were named in the Top 25 Most Powerful Women In Business award by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce. After sharing the stage with a group of inspiring businesswomen, Kami invited Nancy and several other honorees to join her podcast. In this episode, the pair discuss Nancy’s unique career path, the current wins and challenges for iLendingDIRECT, and lessons in leadership.
The overarching theme of the episode is one of kindness, mentorship, and paying it forward. Nancy discusses her nonprofit organization, The Butterfly Foundation, which she founded in 2009 after her career in TV journalism brought her close to many cases of women and families in need. “Philanthropy is just a huge part of who I am, and where I wanted to go, and the difference that I wanted to make in the world.”
As Nancy continues to learn as a leader, she feels a strong responsibility to pass along her experiences to other women in business. “It is so critically important to not only work with women,” says Nancy, “but to also work beside women, and to respect women.”
