Connecticut –Data Privacy Act – CTDPA
The Connecticut Personal Data Privacy and Online Monitoring Act provides protections and provisions to Connecticut residents. In compliance with the CTDPA, iLending is fully committed to handling the personal information of consumers responsibly and respectfully.
In addition to our general Privacy Policy, if you are a Connecticut resident, Connecticut law provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information over the past 12 months and the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. Please note that we are only required to respond to one such request per customer during any 12-month period.
YOUR RIGHTS AS A CONNECTICUT RESIDENT
Listed below is a summary of the rights you are entitled to as a Connecticut resident under the CTDPA:
- A consumer shall have the right to confirm whether or not a controller is processing the consumer’s personal data and access such personal data, unless such confirmation or access would require the controller to reveal a trade secret.
- A consumer shall have the right to correct inaccuracies in the consumer’s personal data, taking into account the nature of the personal data and the purposes of the processing of the consumer’s personal data.
- A consumer shall have the right to delete personal data provided by, or obtained about, the consumer.
- A consumer shall have the right to obtain a copy of the consumer’s personal data processed by the controller, in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format that allows the consumer to transmit the data to another controller without hindrance, where the processing is carried out by automated means, provided such controller shall not be required to reveal any trade secret.
- A consumer shall have the right to opt out of the processing of the personal data for purposes of (A) targeted advertising, (B) the sale of personal data, except as provided in subsection (b) of section 6 of this act, or (C) profiling in furtherance of solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning the consumer.
