Maryland – Online Data Privacy Act – MODPA
The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act provides protections and provisions to Maryland residents. In compliance with the MODPA, iLending is fully committed to handling the personal information of consumers responsibly and respectfully.
YOUR RIGHTS AS A MARYLAND RESIDENT
Listed below is a summary of the rights you are entitled to as a Maryland resident under the MODPA:
- A consumer shall have the right to confirm whether or not a controller is processing the consumer’s personal data and to access such personal data.
- A consumer shall have the right to correct inaccuracies in the consumer’s personal data, taking into account the nature of the personal data and the purposes of the processing of the consumer’s personal data.
- A consumer shall have the right to delete personal data provided by, or obtained about, the consumer, unless the law requires the personal data to be retained.
- A consumer shall have the right to obtain a copy of the consumer’s personal data in a portable and readily usable format that allows the consumer to transmit the data to another controller without hindrance.
- A consumer shall have the right to obtain a list of the categories of third parties to which the controller has disclosed the consumer’s personal data.
- A consumer shall have the right to opt out of the processing of the personal data for purposes of (A) targeted advertising, (B) the sale of personal data, or (C) profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning the consumer.
